The conclusion of the advanced course (techniques of painting on glass and work of Handmade Tablecloths) at the Technical Medical Institute/ Baghdad
The session was concluded in the "techniques of painting on glass and the work of Handmade Tablecloths ", which was set up by the Department of Techniques for the Care of the handicapped people at the Technical Medical Institute/ Baghdad , as directed by the Technical University, Dr. Majid Hameed and in coordination with the Central Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Presidency of the University and the Deanship of the Institute , and with the participation of community organizations ; Shams Al - Zahra Organization for handicapped people ,The Association of Iraqi handicapped people, the Iraqi Voice of the Disabled People Foundation, the members of the Iraqi Short People Association and the Mustansiriya University, In addition to members of the formations of the Middle Technical University with disabilities .
The five-day course included lectures on the practical lectures and exercises aimed at developing skills and capabilities. Participants were informed about the selection of suitable designs and their implementation on curved surfaces, such as gloves, cups and the method of coloring glass in a technical and professional manner. , As well as to identify the materials used in the work of Handmade Tablecloths and knowledge the types of knitting and the ways of implementation .
The course was moderated and the participants were trained by an assist. teacher, Nadi Sabri and assist. head of technical trainers Huda Jamal and Salwa Talib
The course aims to train handicapped people and teach them some manual skills to carry out mini projects, and produce some craft products and seek to market them as real products to the labor market and then to the consumer, which has a financial return .
At the end of the course, the certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees by Assistant Professor Dr. Latif Issa Alwan, Dean of the Institute, Hayat Kazem Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs Sahar Shehab, Head of the Department of Techniques for the Care of the handicapped people, wishing participants a good time in their work .
