Institute of Technology - Baghdad organizes a symposium on  laser technology in cooperation with the Iraqi Engineers Association

In cooperation with the Association of Iraqi Engineers, the Institute of Technology-Baghdad organized a symposium on laser technology in the Hall of the Association with the participation of a number of professors and specialists from various ministries.

The objective of the seminar was :

1-Identifying of laser radiation and how to produce it and who invented it

2-Highlight the role of Einstein in the subject of the invention of laser

3-Clarifying the meaning of the word laser abbreviated from the phrase "amplification of the simultaneous emission of radiation" is Einstein's theory of laser.

4-Explaining The properties of the laser light and its difference from ordinary light .

5. What is the photon's energy and its relation to the frequency and wavelength of the laser?

The symposium , in which Dr. Rehab H. Khangar lectured on the factors that affect the process of laser interaction materials , which include factors related to laser radiation and factors related to the thermal and optical properties , and factors related to the thermal and optical properties of the treated material as well as factors related to the process of treatment such as the exposure speed of the laser and the impact of the flow rate of the protection gas used .

The symposium included the introduction of general applications of laser in different sectors such as military, medical, geophysics, chemistry, biology, dimensional measurement, etc. It focused on the engineering applications of laser and touched on different types of laser. The symposium received many interventions and observations by the attended professors and researchers and the lecturer answered the questions raised .
